Supporting the Troops is a Responsibility – Not an Option

Mission Harvest continues to spearhead the effort in Northeast Florida to collect donated items for the troops.  A very special effort is being made to collect enough items to send a large overseas container direct to IRAQ from JACKSONVILLE.    Working with the MWR [Morale Warfare Recreation] command at Camp Warhorse Mission Harvest is requesting the community to donate sports equipment, sports decorations and any gym type equipment and large table sports games.  The MWR is building seven canteens for the troops to come inside for recreation and relaxing beginning in Camp Warhorse and then to other Camps.

The target shipping date for the container is November 30th.  It will go by commercial ship to port of call Iraq and then transported in country by the US Army to Camp Warhorse.  We need your HELP now!

For more information on how you can help with this effort please contact Mission Harvest at 904-356-9006 or email them at MissionH@Bellsouth.Net.  Please visit website http://support-troops.org for details

Volunteers are needed to help process and package the donated items for shipment the troops and funds are needed to help cover the cost of transportation.

Recently Congressman Ander Crenshaw [R-FL] and cadets from the CAP FL-169 Squadron at Cecil Field came to the warehouse to help process items for shipping.  Your group is invited to help collect items and then come to Mission Harvest warehouse to help prepare the shipments.
